What is AWANA?

AWANA is a world wide non-denominational ministry working to reach children ages 3 through 18 with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Fall 2013 was GracePoint Fellowship’s first year to be a chartered AWANA club. GracePoint offers AWANA clubs for children age 3 through 6th grade. AWANA stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed,” taken from II Timothy 2:15 “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.”

CUBBIES:

3 & 4 year olds

AWANA Cubbies is built on two premises:
young children can/should receive spiritual
training and home is the primary place for
spiritual training. Teachers design activities specifically for preschoolers including story
time, crafts, snack and games. Children read stories and learn a Bible verse each week at
home and recite it to their teachers.

SPARKS:

K thru 2nd Grade

The AWANA club for children in kindergarten through second grade takes kids a step deeper
into God’s Word while giving unsaved boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the gospel
and come to faith in Jesus Christ. After being immersed in solid foundational teaching at the preschool level, boys and girls frequently come
to an understanding of their need to trust
Christ as their personal Savior while in Sparks.
Sparkies participate in book time, games,
counsel time each week.

TRUTH & TRAINING (T&T):

3rd thru 6th Grade

The name Truth & Training reflects the passion
of AWANA to teach third- through sixth-grade
boys and girls the truth of God’s Word and to
train them to follow Christ in their daily lives.
Our goal is that many of today’s young people
will become tomorrow’s church leaders. T&T is
the program that trains the leaders of tomorrow today. T&T students participate in book time, games, counsel time each week.
AWANA is on Wednesday Nights 6:30pm-8:00pm
Begins 9/03/25!
